The growing concern of new cancer rates among Albertans grows by the year. Canadians across the country continue to fight ongoing battles with cancer. This ultimately raises health concerns among Canadians and the affected families.


This article highlights the rate of cancer cases in Canada and provinces, the percentage of cancer diagnoses, and two Albertans primarily affected by multiple myeloma in their family.

Isolation's Impact on Our Health with Dr. Richard Lewanczuk

Dr. Richard Lewanczuk is the Senior Medical Director of Health System Integration for Alberta Health Services (AHS). In this role he works within AHS as well as with provincial government ministries, municipalities, the volunteer sector, primary care and businesses to “help Albertans be as healthy, well and independent as they can be in their homes and communities.”
